Doing your first webinar and there’s barely anyone that’s registered? Watch this video!
Doing your first webinar, and there’s barely anyone that registered?
When I first started doingwebinars they frickin’ sucked.
I maybe had like 12 people register for the first webinar.
That shit was not easy,it was nerve-wracking.
And I thought I’d do a greatjob because I studied webinars,
I’ve been on a ton of webinars. So I figured, you know what, I’m gonna knock it out of the park.
It’s gonna be fantastic.
And then it wasn’t.
If you have very few people register for your first webinar, I want you to, first of all, celebrate, because oh my god, you’re about to do your first webinar, that’s amazing, I’m so proud of you!
Do you realize how big of a deal this is?
It’s gonna be an amazing learning experience, and you’re gonna see how you like to do your webinars,
and what you can do in the future, to make them even more successful.
High five, do it.
The second thing I want you to do is just relax.
Like I said, the first webinaris rarely ever a knock-out.
It’s probably not gonna go perfectly.
You’re probably gonna have tech issues, I mean I hope you don’t, but that might happen very often even for people that have been doing webinars for years.
Tech issues still come up, so it’s something to be aware of.
And if it’s your first webinar, there’s not that many people that are registered, you can breathe a sigh of relief because you’re not gonna mess up in front of, you know, thousands of people, or hundreds of people.
It’s gonna be okay.
You’re not gonna feel as stressed out.
You’re not gonna have as intensive stage fright.
If something does go wrong, and you’re gonna be able to handleit in a more calm manner.
If things do go wrong, calm down, don’t freak out.
Again, this is normal, and people are gonna be understanding of this.
If you have to close the webinar, and let people know, like, “Hey, I’m sorry. “We’re gonna have to do this another time “because the tech issues we’re just too crazy, “we couldn’t handle it.”
They’re gonna understand, okay, that’s gonna be fine.
No one’s gonna like wanna come after you because you wasted 10 minutes of their life.
They’re gonna be understanding. If you’re upfront and say like”This is my first webinar, I’m so excited.”
And then you tell them like, “Oh my gosh, “I’m sorry for the tech issues.”
They’re gonna be understanding, okay?
It’s gonna be fine.
And if they aren’t, if they’re being assholes to you, unsubscribe those people from your list, ’cause you don’t need that shit, okay?
You’re frickin’ awesome.
Also, this is not gonna be your last webinar.
You don’t have to feel like it has to be perfect.
You don’t have to feel like it has to be the best thing ever, because you’re gonna be doing a lot more webinars now, ’cause you’re gonna see how much more confident you’re gonna feel, how much better of a speaker you’re gonna be.
You’re gonna really love the fact that you’re helping people, and you’re teaching people, and you’re gonna see the more that you do this, the more people are gonna be super grateful for all the amazing value you’re providing.
That’s a great high.
Don’t worry, you’re gonna have many more opportunities to do this again.
Now, a concern that I often hear from my clients is “What if nobody shows up live.
“What if I have 20 people signed up, “but nobody showed up live?
“Do I still do webinar? “What do I do?”
Yes, do the webinar. Don’t worry about the fact that no one’s on there.
Just do it as if there is a lot of people on there, just have the energy high.
And afterwards, you can just send them a replay, and they’re gonna watch it.
If they don’t watch it, fine, the next webinar’s gonna go better.
Don’t freak out.
Have fun with it, this is supposed to be fun.
Your business is great, you’re great.
There’s no reason to be afraid.
Again, high five, you’re amazing, and I know I’ve said this many times already, ’cause it’s true, okay?
You’re gonna knock it out of the park.
You are a rock star.
So your webinar is gonna be amazing.
Let me know how the first webinar goes,
I’m so excited to hear about it.
